See what happens when I try to write more often? "Fat Finger" returns to spoil the fun... (curse him!). Anyway, I'm back in the same week for the first time in a long time. Monday was a day of running around getting mail, cleaners, food shopping, firewood and various other chores needed when one returns from a vacation in paradise... (I have mentioned that I was relaxing on the beaches of Aruba, haven't I?). Sorry, I digress. Getting back in the swing in of normal life (my normal life, not REAL normal life) was an all day experience, but I was looking forward to watching the Jets-Patriots game on Monday night... To anyone who cares, it seems only the Patriots showed up to play that night. The Jets reminded me of the old electric football game where the players just shook and rotated around in circles and did absolutely nothing... At least I got a good night's sleep because the game was over at halftime. Now comes the time when the Jets either bounce back and prove that they are Super Bowl contenders or revert to the "old" Jets and bumble through the rest of the season crushing their fans hopes... (as they have been doing since 1969). Only time will tell.
I called work to let them know that I have returned and was promptly handed a weekend full of gigs... (I LOVE being this popular). I will be working the "Nutcracker" at Symphony Hall on Saturday and Sunday and a convention of feline fanciers on Friday. Which brings me to my new project. Getting my apartment kitty-proofed so that I can go to the shelter next Monday and bring home my new pet... (a tabby named Tang-she's orange and white and 3 mos. old). Tang will not remain her name but she will name herself in the first few days she is here (No, she will not be named Mrs. Wafflepuss, Vee). Just like Cleopatra (my first cat) was the "queen of D9" (my old apartment number), Tang will rename herself in time. More on the kitty when information becomes available... (and hoping she is still at the shelter when I go there)
This is quite refreshing, blogging on the same day that things are happening . I hope you appreciate the effort as much as I do... and if you don't it's okay... I going to continue this trend for awhile.
