Things that make me go hmmmm...

Online dating: If someone sends you a message that they want to know more about you and you reply, wouldn't a follow-up message be appropriate to say either thanks for for the info and let's continue or you scare the living crap out of me and don't send anymore? Hmmmm.
If someone puts that they are looking to date and not looking for a relationship, why do they get upset when you tell them that you are seeing other people also? Isn't that what dating means? Hmmmm.

Security guard license renewal: If you have been working as a guard for the two years since you received your first card, why do you need to resubmit fingerprints and attend the 8 hour class again to get a new card? Do you have to retake a drivers test to renew your drivers license? Hmmmm.

Visitors: If people know it's beautiful here all year round and they have an open invitation to come and visit, why do they complain that it's too hot to come visit? It's hot from June into September, and no one has spontaneously combusted or melted from the heat. The rest of year is 70 or 80 during the day and in the 50s at night with little or no rain ever... and we have water and air conditioning and no humidity... and those that have come here are excited to return because it's BEAUTIFUL here all year long. Hmmmm.

Arizona drivers: Why do you remember you are at your exit only from the left lane on the highway as you are passing it and then slow down and cut everyone off trying to get off the highway? They are numbered and they don't change the signs and they have been there since the highway was built. And why is it they they do 75 mph on the exit but barely do the speed limit on the highway? Hmmmm.

Pet friendly apartments: If you wish to be considered pet friendly, why do you charge exorbitant fees to have a 10-15 lb. animal in the apartment? And aren't pit bulls and Rottweilers pets also? Do you think that pet owners are going to let their pets ruin their home? Is a cat going to destroy a living space? Don't you change the carpeting and repaint the apartment after someone moves out? Hmmmm.

These are just some of the things rattling around my brain. It's an example of my "unique perspective" about things. Played golf yesterday and found a new golf home (Longbow). Signed up for their players card giving me 50% off greens fee the entire year for me and anyone I bring there (see visitor section above). The course is beautiful and challenging and 7003 yards from the tips... Working the ASU graduation ceremonies these next three days and then Steve is coming down to Phoenix for the weekend to collect his storage stuff and have it moved to his new place in Colorado. So it's golf on Sunday (36 holes for me ) and Monday with Steve. December 15th and Jim is playing golf in shorts and a golf shirt? Hmmmm.
